NFL Playoffs Set to Kick Off: Key Dates and Projected Brackets
The NFL playoffs are poised to commence on January 10, 2024, with the first two wild-card round games. As the regular season nears its conclusion, the final 14-team playoff field is yet to be determined. The complete playoff bracket will be finalized late on Sunday night, following the pivotal Ravens-Steelers matchup. The winner of this game will secure the AFC North title, while the losing team will be eliminated from postseason contention. Wild-card weekend is scheduled for January 10, 11, and 12, followed by the divisional round on January 17 and 18. The conference championship games will take place on January 25, leading up to Super Bowl LX on February 8 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

The wild-card schedule will be announced during Week 18, but current projections from ESPN’s Football Power Index offer insight into potential matchups in both conferences.
In the projected NFC bracket, the matchups include:

– (6) Los Angeles Rams at (3) Philadelphia Eagles
– (5) Seattle Seahawks at (4) Carolina Panthers/Tampa Bay Buccaneers
– Bye: (1) San Francisco 49ers
For the AFC, the projected bracket features:
– (7) Los Angeles Chargers at (2) New England Patriots
– (6) Buffalo Bills at (3) Jacksonville Jaguars
– (5) Houston Texans at (4) Baltimore Ravens/Pittsburgh Steelers
– Bye: (1) Denver Broncos
The divisional round will see the top seeds in both conferences making their playoff debuts, with two games held on Saturday and two on Sunday.
