Man Arrested for Stabbing Wife and Assaulting Child in San Diego

A man has been arrested after allegedly stabbing his wife and assaulting his child during a domestic dispute in Imperial Beach, California. The incident occurred on March 5, 2024, when a 16-year-old child alerted authorities around 22:00, reporting that their father had attacked their mother in the 500 block of 5th Street. The San Diego County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the details in a news release.
According to officials, the suspect, identified as Enos Perez, aged 49, was involved in a violent altercation with his wife, a 36-year-old woman. During the confrontation, he is also accused of assaulting one of their children before fleeing the scene. Authorities located Perez later that evening in nearby National City, where he was arrested without incident. He now faces serious charges, including assault with a deadly weapon, domestic violence, and child abuse.
The victim was taken to a hospital to treat a laceration to her head. Fortunately, the teenager received treatment at the scene and was later released. Perez was also taken to the hospital for minor injuries sustained during the incident.
