Freshman Champ Taulealea Shines in Huskies’ Win Over Purdue
In a commanding performance, the University of Washington’s freshman offensive lineman, Champ Taulealea, made a significant impact during the team’s 49-13 victory over Purdue. Entering the game in the third series, Taulealea, who stands at 6-foot-5 and weighs approximately 330 pounds, lined up as the right offensive guard. He was flanked by fellow freshman John Mills, a towering 6-foot-6 and 342 pounds, creating a formidable presence on the line.

“Champ is another big player, and that’s what we wanted,” Fisch noted, highlighting the importance of Taulealea and Mills in the freshman class. At one point, the Huskies featured freshmen in three of the five starting offensive-line positions, with redshirt freshman Paki Finau also making a mark at left offensive guard.
