Carmen Andreanelli, a cherished mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. She was 92 years old and left a legacy of love, dedication, and culinary skill that will be fondly remembered by those who knew her.

Born in Ingeniero White, Argentina, Carmen was the daughter of Juan and Filomena Caserma. She married her beloved husband, Juan Jose Andreanelli, on April 7, 1950, and they enjoyed nearly seven decades together until his passing on January 4, 2019. The couple immigrated to San Pedro in August 1960, where they began a new chapter with their daughters, Ana and Nora.

Carmen’s professional journey included a brief stint as a seamstress at Chic Lingerie, but she later became part owner of several local businesses, including Carmen’s Pizza, Croissant Cafe, and Buster Brown Shoes. Her entrepreneurial spirit contributed to the vibrant community around her.

Throughout her life, Carmen enjoyed traveling, visiting places such as Argentina, Hawaii, and Europe. She was an active member of the Italian Catholic Federation (#115), where she participated in community events and enjoyed family camping trips and cruises with her husband.

Carmen’s cooking was legendary among her family, known for her ‘world famous’ pasta and pastries. Her love for family was evident in her meticulous preparations for gatherings, where she always ensured there were cookies for every occasion. Beyond her culinary talents, she possessed a remarkable skill for sewing and freestyle needlepoint.

She is survived by her daughters, Ana (Anthony) DiLeva and Nora Andreanelli, alongside her grandchildren: Vince (Christa) DiLeva, John (Tina) DiLeva, Jenni Knez-Watten, and Adam (Amanda) Knez. Carmen also leaves behind great-grandchildren, including Chloe and Isabelle DiLeva, as well as numerous other family members in the United States, Argentina, and Italy.

Carmen was a devoted wife and mother, known for her grace and humility. A faithful servant of God, she prayed the rosary daily, reflecting her deep spirituality. Her family finds comfort in the belief that she is now at home, forever in their hearts.

Funeral services will be held on July 30, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church, with interment to follow at Green Hills Memorial Park. The family invites all who knew Carmen to join them in celebrating her life and legacy.
