Stephanie Singe-Cully Launches Campaign for Family Court Judge
Former Assistant District Attorney and current Family Court Attorney Stephanie Singe-Cully officially announced her candidacy for the position of Family Court Judge in Oneida County during an event held on Wednesday at 72 Tavern & Grill in Utica. This announcement marks the beginning of her campaign for the upcoming election scheduled for November 3, 2026.
“Today, I stand before you humbled, energized and proud to officially declare my candidacy for Oneida County Family Court Judge,” Singe-Cully stated. She emphasized her longstanding commitment to children and families, noting that her experience in Family Court has equipped her to assist individuals during some of the most significant and emotional periods of their lives.
Experience and Qualifications
Currently serving as the Court Attorney to the Honorable Paul M. Deep, Singe-Cully engages daily with cases that impact the safety and stability of families in the community. The seat she is contesting became available as the current Family Court Judge, Hon. Randall B. Caldwell, has chosen not to seek re-election.
Singe-Cully’s background includes over ten years as an Assistant District Attorney for Oneida County, where she also held the position of Bureau Chief at the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center. During her time as a prosecutor, she was involved in thousands of cases, including serious felony cases concerning child abuse and exploitation.
Former Oneida County District Attorney Scott McNamara introduced Singe-Cully at her campaign kickoff, praising her qualifications. “I’ve seen her work firsthand to secure justice for families in the courtroom as an Assistant District Attorney,” he remarked. “Stephanie has the experience we need to serve families across Oneida County during their most challenging times.”
Community Commitment
At only 36 years of age, Singe-Cully is a lifelong resident of Oneida County. Raised in New Hartford, she is an alumna of LeMoyne College and Florida Coastal School of Law. She resides in New Hartford with her husband, Matt, and their nine-month-old son, Rocco. “As my husband and I raise our growing family here, I am as committed as ever to make Oneida County as safe and promising a place as it has been for me,” she said, expressing her desire to foster a supportive environment for all families.
In addition to her legal career, Singe-Cully has focused on community service. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Oneida County Bar Association and is involved with the Community Readers program within the Utica School District. Her dedication to public service aligns with her campaign goals, which include bringing fairness, accountability, and compassion to Family Court.
As a registered Republican, Singe-Cully seeks the party’s nomination for Family Court Judge. Her campaign aims to resonate with voters who value experience and a commitment to family welfare as she prepares for the upcoming election.
