Argentina and the United States have announced a major trade agreement that strengthens ties between the two nations. This deal, finalized on November 2, 2023, marks a significant move for Argentine President Javier Milei, who is working to liberalize Argentina’s traditionally protectionist economy.

The agreement was confirmed after a meeting in Washington, where Argentina’s Foreign Minister Pablo Quirno shared a celebratory moment on social media with fellow diplomats. “Congratulations to our team and thanks to the U.S. Trade Representative’s team for building this great agreement together,” Quirno remarked.
