Kaitlyn Bristowe Opens Up About Pain Medication Addiction Post-Surgery

Kaitlyn Bristowe has openly discussed her experience with pain medication following her breast augmentation surgery earlier this year. The former star of “The Bachelor” revealed her struggle with medication dependency during a recent Q&A session on her Instagram Stories, emphasizing the importance of proper post-operative care.
In her candid remarks, Bristowe stated, “Make sure someone is taking care of you after. I thought I’d be fine and forgot my whole pill taking schedule and got a little addicted to pain meds. Scary.” Her transparency serves as a reminder to her followers about the potential challenges that can arise after surgical procedures.
Bristowe had the surgery in May 2023 and shared a lighthearted video to announce the news to her family, joking about the procedure with a mock sonogram of her breasts. She humorously captioned the post, “Telling friends and family I got twins,” and expressed her departure from the “itty bitty titty committee.”
In addition to her discussion on medication, Bristowe provided several pieces of advice for those considering similar procedures. She advised, “Make sure you trust your Doctor and give him a pic to look at while he does them.” She also warned against the dangers of engaging with social media immediately after surgery, saying, “Don’t do any social media, make decisions or shop,” admitting, “I couldn’t stop shopping and I barely remember.”
Bristowe, now 40, has been open about her previous cosmetic enhancements. In 2021, she detailed her journey with various procedures, responding to criticism regarding changes in her appearance. She shared specifics about her transformations, stating, “6 years since I was on the show, brow lift, brow micro blading, got my teeth bonded, some filler in my lips, aging, darker hair, and I finally learned how to contour. Oh and I put on some weight.”
She later clarified that her brow lift did not involve surgery, explaining, “No, I just got Botox to lift the brows.” Bristowe’s willingness to discuss her cosmetic experiences highlights the evolving conversation around beauty standards and personal choices in the public eye.
As she navigates her recovery, Bristowe continues to engage with her audience, offering insights into the realities of cosmetic surgery and the importance of self-care. Her approach not only sheds light on personal challenges but also fosters a supportive dialogue among her followers about the complexities of beauty and health.
