Over 44,000 NordicTrack rowing machines have been recalled by iFIT due to a significant fire hazard. The affected machines, specifically four models of the NordicTrack Model NTRW19147 Rowing Machine, were sold in both the United States and Canada between November 2018 and April 2022 for approximately $1,700.
The recall stems from concerns that the screen console can overheat, leading to potential ignition. iFIT has reported eight incidents associated with this issue, which include two fires and six cases of smoking or melting components, resulting in at least $6,000 in property damage. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported.

Consumers can find the model number printed on a decal affixed to the base of the rowing machine. The recalled machines are identifiable by their black, gray, and white colors, with “NordicTrack” displayed in black letters on the front legs and “RW900” in white on the back legs.
