‘Selling Sunset’ Season 9 Reunion Set for November 5 on Netflix

Fans of the popular reality series Selling Sunset will have the opportunity to see unresolved issues addressed during the upcoming season 9 reunion, airing on November 5. This follows the release of the latest episodes on October 29, which featured cast members including Chrishell Stause, Mary Bonnet, and Jason Oppenheim returning to the Oppenheim Group.
The reunion promises to tackle the tensions that have emerged off-screen among the cast. Tan France, known for his role on Queer Eye, will host the event, which comes in the wake of significant drama involving cast member Nicole Young. Nicole faced backlash after making a controversial remark regarding Chrishell’s deceased parents, leading to her temporary departure from the agency and subsequent move to Nashville.
In January, Nicole stated, “I had a call with production two days ago during which they told me I have absolutely not been fired from the cast but they chose to pause my filming schedule…” She expressed her concerns about the filming environment, emphasizing the challenges of navigating contentious situations. Despite her complex relationship with the show, she acknowledged that it had been a valuable opportunity.
Nicole’s reunion with her co-stars was not entirely positive. In an August TikTok post, she described the experience as frustrating, stating, “…the moderator goes, ‘OK, thanks Nicole, it was great to see you,’” suggesting that she was not given adequate time to express her thoughts. This sentiment reflects the ongoing tensions within the cast, which are expected to be a focal point of the reunion.
Additionally, the reunion follows a previous season where the cast avoided addressing their conflicts due to heightened animosity. Past disputes included accusations made by Nicole against Emma regarding her personal life, and ongoing issues between Chelsea and Bre Tiesi. These conflicts have contributed to a charged atmosphere among cast members, with some even threatening to leave the show if they had to interact with specific individuals.
Despite the anticipation surrounding the reunion, it remains uncertain whether Selling Sunset will continue for a season 10. As the series currently streams on Netflix, viewers await further developments in both the show and the cast’s relationships.
