Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have come under fire from royal commentator Esther Krakue, who has labeled them the world’s “most boring couple.” This criticism follows their various business ventures since stepping back from royal duties in 2020. Despite launching several high-profile projects, their collaboration with major streaming services has raised eyebrows.

Following their departure from the Royal Family, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have established a series of business initiatives, most notably partnerships with Spotify and Netflix. The latter’s partnership is expected to conclude this year after delivering five projects, including the docuseries Harry & Meghan, Live to Lead, Heart of Invictus, Polo, and With Love, Meghan. Additionally, Netflix collaborates with Meghan on her lifestyle brand, As Ever.

Krakue’s comments, made during an interview with the Sun, question the profitability and public appeal of the Sussexes. She stated, “I think Netflix are going to have to swallow the fact that they’ve invested in the world’s most boring and unprofitable couple.” This sentiment reflects broader concerns about the couple’s commercial viability.

The criticism extends to their previous collaboration with Spotify, which Krakue believes recognized early on that the Sussexes were not generating the desired impact. She remarked, “Spotify seemed to distance themselves accordingly,” indicating a shift in the streaming platform’s approach to the couple.

Krakue further suggested that the stakes for Meghan are relatively low if her ventures do not succeed. “I really don’t think the public understands just how little is at stake for Meghan,” she said, adding, “Like, who cares if it ever fails? It wasn’t exactly a passion project.” This comment raises questions about the motivations behind their business endeavors.

As the Sussexes navigate their post-royal lives, the scrutiny of their projects continues. With their Netflix contract set to end and mixed reviews of their work, the future of their business initiatives remains uncertain. As public interest fluctuates, the couple will need to adapt to maintain relevance in the competitive entertainment landscape.
