Mariah Carey has made a highly anticipated return with her 16th studio album, Here for It All, released on September 26, 2025, through gamma. This marks the singer’s first album in seven years, following her previous work, Caution, which debuted in 2018.

The new album features 11 tracks and includes two lead singles: “Type Dangerous” and “Sugar Sweet.” The latter song showcases collaborations with artists Shenseea and Kehlani. “Type Dangerous” has already made waves, winning the award for Best R&B at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards. Additionally, it has become Carey’s landmark 50th entry on the Billboard Hot 100 and her first number one on Adult R&B Airplay in nearly two decades.

Collaborations and Insights into the Album

Among the standout tracks on Here for It All are collaborations with notable artists such as Anderson .Paak on “Play This Song” and The Clark Sisters on “Jesus I Do.” Although she does not appear on the album, SZA and Carey recently previewed a snippet of “In Your Feelings” during an Apple Music conversation in New York City on September 24, 2025.

In an interview with Gayle King on CBS Mornings, Carey discussed the intentional sequencing of the album, particularly highlighting the title track. “The last song on the album I decided first. I was like, ‘The last song is going to be “Here for It All.” And I’m going to make it the title track,’” she explained. “It’s just something that feels good to me, and I didn’t want people to miss it.”

Looking Back and Forward

Here for It All arrives seven years after Carey’s last studio album, Caution, which included collaborations with artists such as Ty Dolla $ign and Gunna. Caution peaked at number five on the Billboard 200 and topped the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, solidifying Carey’s sustained presence in the music industry.

With this new release, Carey not only reaffirms her musical prowess but also continues to connect with her audience through fresh collaborations and a blend of contemporary sounds. Fans can now stream Here for It All across various platforms.
