Fans of Norwegian DJ and music producer Kygo can relive the excitement of his October 2024 performance at the renowned Hollywood Bowl through a new concert film titled Kygo: Back at the Bowl. The film opens in theaters across the United States on September 26, 2024, and runs for one hour and 40 minutes, capturing the electrifying energy of the live show.

This concert featured a lineup of special guests, including Zak Abel, Ryan Tedder, Ava Max, and Zara Larsson. Kygo’s performance on October 17, 2024, marked his second appearance at the iconic venue, following his previous shows there in October 2016. Those earlier performances were documented in the film Kygo: Live at the Hollywood Bowl, released in 2017.

Kygo’s Evolving Touring Experience

Reflecting on his career, Kygo shared insights about the pressures he faced during his earlier performances. In an interview with Billboard, he explained, “It was like every show was life or death. I was always very nervous. It was like, ‘This is the most important [thing ever], and if I mess up tonight, my career is over.’”

He admitted that the intense pressure made it difficult for him to fully enjoy his performances. “At one point I was like, ‘I’m probably never going to tour again,’ because it was just so exhausting,” he recalled. However, with a fresh perspective and a new approach to touring, Kygo described his 2024 tour as “definitely my favorite [tour] that I’ve done so far.”

The tour kicked off in September 2024 and included a total of 35 dates across North America, Europe, and Central America. On average, the shows attracted over 10,000 attendees and generated approximately $838,000 in revenue per performance, according to figures reported to Billboard Boxscore.

Upcoming Events and Festivals

Following the Hollywood Bowl shows, Kygo’s tour will continue into 2025, with performances planned in Asia, Australia, and further dates in North America. Among his upcoming events are performances at the Palm Tree Crew festivals in Montecito and Napa Valley, California, scheduled for October 4 and 11, 2024, respectively.

Fans can also catch a glimpse of Kygo and Zak Abel performing their collaboration “For Life” from the 2024 concert in an exclusive clip available on Billboard. As the anticipation builds for the concert film release, Kygo’s evolution as an artist continues to resonate with audiences worldwide.
