Apple TV+ has officially renewed its acclaimed series, The Morning Show, for a fifth season, following the successful premiere of its fourth season on September 17, 2025. The show, which features a powerful ensemble cast led by Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, continues to captivate audiences with its exploration of contemporary issues within the media landscape.

The announcement of the renewal came just before the fourth season’s debut. Matt Cherniss, head of programming at Apple TV+, expressed enthusiasm for the series, stating, “The Morning Show has been a standout from the very start, debuting as one of the flagship series on Apple TV+.” Cherniss highlighted the show’s ability to resonate globally, thanks to its exceptional cast and creative team.

Executive producer Michael Ellenberg echoed these sentiments, praising the dedication and talent of the cast and crew. He remarked, “We are so grateful to Apple TV+ and the fans around the world who tune in every week, and we are excited for viewers to see this upcoming season and beyond.”

Both Aniston and Witherspoon shared their excitement on social media, with Aniston posting a screenshot of the renewal announcement on her Instagram Stories, accompanied by the message, “So proud of this team.” Witherspoon similarly expressed her pride, stating, “It’s official! So proud to be a part of this amazing team!”

What to Expect in Season 4

Season 4 of The Morning Show delves into the complexities and dangers of artificial intelligence, a theme that resonates deeply with the journalists and staff at the newly merged companies, UBA and NBN. The narrative picks up two years after the events of season 3, where characters Bradley (Witherspoon) and her brother Hal turned themselves in to the FBI for his involvement in the January 6 Capitol attacks. Additionally, it has been two years since Alex (Aniston) ended her relationship with Paul Marks, portrayed by Jon Hamm, due to his unethical approach to acquiring UBA.

As the stakes rise for the characters, viewers can anticipate a blend of personal and professional challenges that reflect real-world issues within the media and technology sectors. The series has consistently pushed boundaries, addressing critical topics while maintaining its gripping storytelling style.

With this renewal, The Morning Show not only secures its place within the Apple TV+ lineup but also promises to continue engaging its audience with thought-provoking narratives and compelling character arcs. As the show progresses, fans will be eager to see how the story unfolds in the upcoming season.
