Aesha Scott, a familiar face from the reality television series Below Deck Mediterranean, has expressed optimism regarding the upcoming tenth season, set to premiere on September 29, 2023. In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, Scott highlighted a departure from the previous season’s intense drama, promising viewers a more engaging experience.

In her comments, Scott noted, “There is so much that happens. The viewers this whole entire season are going to be absolutely enthralled.” She emphasized that the narrative is less focused on conflict and more on authentic life experiences. “I feel like with last season, it was a lot of the same stuff. This season, every single charter had unexpected twists,” she elaborated.

Scott, who joined the franchise in 2019 and has worked her way up from second stew to chief stew, indicated that this season’s storytelling is refreshingly relatable and grounded. “It’s not toxic or gross stuff. It’s people’s real lives and family stories,” she stated, indicating a shift towards more heartfelt narratives.

Positive Changes and Team Dynamics

Captain Sandy Yawn echoed Scott’s sentiments, expressing confidence in the team dynamics this season. “I think maybe the interior feels more settled this season,” she noted, adding that she does not have to micromanage the crew. Yawn appreciates the trust she has in Scott, stating, “Having Aesha on board just says everything is fine on the interior for me.”

The upcoming season also sees the return of seasoned crew members such as Nathan Gallager and Max Salvador. They will be joined by chef Josh Bingham, stews Kizzi Kitchener and Victoria SanJuan, and deckhands Christian Trimino and Tessa Budd. Each member brings their unique flair to the show, promising an exciting blend of personalities.

Scott noted her growing comfort in her role, stating, “For a long time, you’re just waiting to hear from season to season. It definitely feels like I’m more of a set stew now, which is great.” This stability has allowed her to cultivate a strong working relationship with Captain Yawn, which viewers have come to appreciate.

As the premiere date approaches, enthusiasm builds around the show’s potential for a more wholesome viewing experience, with Scott and Yawn at the helm. The series will air on Bravo at 20:00 ET, with new episodes available for streaming on Peacock the following day.

With a focus on genuine interactions and storytelling, the upcoming season of Below Deck Mediterranean promises to captivate audiences, steering away from the toxicity of previous seasons.
