Young Adults Rise Program Launches Weekly Meetings in Shenandoah County

A new initiative, Young Adults Rise, aims to support young adults in Shenandoah County by providing vital resources and opportunities to foster life skills, purpose, and community connections. The program will hold weekly meetings at two locations, starting in early September 2023.
The meetings will take place on Tuesdays in Mount Jackson from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM, beginning on September 3, at Coffee to Grow, located at 5946 Main St. In Strasburg, the program will commence on September 24, also from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM, at Box Office Brewery, found at 177 E. King St.
Young Adults Rise is structured to meet three times a month for formal meetings, supplemented by a social event once a month. The program’s curriculum is grounded in research, utilizing insights from experts who have studied the unique challenges faced by this age group.
The initiative seeks to address a notable gap in the availability of supportive environments for young adults, an issue identified by various studies. By facilitating discussions, hosting speakers, and creating networking opportunities, Young Adults Rise aims to empower participants to build meaningful relationships and develop essential life skills.
Attendance at the meetings is free, making it accessible to all interested individuals. For more information about the program, potential participants can reach out via email at [email protected].
This program represents a proactive effort to enrich the lives of young adults in the community, providing them with the tools necessary to navigate the complexities of modern life while fostering a sense of belonging among peers.
