New Market Area Library Launches Engaging Storytime Programs
The New Market Area Library is set to launch an engaging series of storytime programs aimed at preschoolers, running from September 2023 to May 2024. These initiatives are designed to foster early literacy and provide enjoyable learning experiences for both children and their caregivers.
Books and Babies Program
The first program, titled Books and Babies, will take place at 10 a.m. on the first Wednesday of each month. This session is tailored for children from birth to age 3, accompanied by a parent or caregiver. Participants can look forward to a variety of interactive activities that include stories, chants, sensory experiences, rhymes, songs, and play, all centered around a monthly theme. This program aims to stimulate young minds while nurturing bonding moments between children and their caregivers.
Preschool Storytime Experience
Additionally, the library will host a Preschool Storytime every third Friday of the month at 10 a.m. This session is designed for children aged 3 to 5 and their parents or caregivers. Attendees can expect an engaging lineup of books, songs, rhymes, games, and crafts, also revolving around a specific monthly theme. This program provides an opportunity for children to enhance their literacy skills in a fun and interactive environment.
