Clemson University is inviting its undergraduate students to participate in The Princeton Review’s annual Best Colleges survey, which plays a crucial role in shaping the publication’s national college rankings for 2026. This survey allows students to share their experiences and perspectives on various aspects of campus life, including academics and culture.

The survey, which has been conducted every year since 1990, employs a Likert scale format and takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. It will remain open until January 28, 2026. The feedback collected will be instrumental in informing The Princeton Review’s rankings, a widely recognized resource for prospective students and their families as they navigate the college selection process.

Doug Hallenbeck, the Vice President for Student Affairs, emphasized the importance of student involvement. “This is an opportunity for our students to tell Clemson’s story in their own words,” he stated. “These insights help demonstrate the exceptional academic and student experience that defines Clemson.” Participation from students not only ensures that the university is accurately represented but also contributes to enhancing the value of a Clemson degree on a national scale.

It is important to note that this survey is distinct from Clemson’s internal survey, the Power of the Paw, which is conducted each fall and spring. The Princeton Review’s survey is administered independently and does not collect demographic information related to race, ethnicity, gender identity, or sexuality, ensuring that responses remain focused solely on the academic and social environment at Clemson.

To encourage participation, Clemson University is offering incentives. Students who complete the survey will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a $50 Amazon gift card. This initiative not only aims to gather valuable insights but also rewards students for their contributions.

Participating in this survey provides an essential opportunity for Clemson students to voice their opinions and help shape the university’s reputation on a national stage. By taking part, they play a role in creating a richer understanding of what it means to be a part of the Clemson community.
