Bello (5-3) dominated the Rockies, allowing just five hits and one walk over nine innings. He showcased his skills early, striking out seven batters after facing the Colorado lineup just once. This complete game marks a significant milestone for him, following a rain-shortened six-inning appearance in September 2022, when he faced the New York Yankees.
Trevor Story contributed significantly to the Red Sox’s offensive success, hitting a three-run home run in the seventh inning, while Ceddanne Rafaela added a two-run double in the sixth. The Red Sox’s scoring began with a single from Story that drove in Romy Gonzalez, setting off a four-run rally in the sixth.
