The Bethlehem Area School District has appointed Elise M. Jones as the new principal of Fountain Hill Elementary School. Jones brings over 15 years of public education experience to her new role, previously serving as principal at Easton Area Middle School and leading Paxinosa Elementary School for six years.

Jack P. Silva, the district’s superintendent, expressed enthusiasm about Jones’s appointment, stating, “We are excited to welcome Ms. Jones to Fountain Hill Elementary. Her leadership experience, instructional expertise, and commitment to building strong school communities make her an outstanding addition to the BASD team.”

Jones holds a master’s degree in educational leadership from Wilkes University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology with elementary education certification from Moravian University. Throughout her career, she has implemented various initiatives aimed at closing achievement gaps and fostering trauma-informed practices. Additionally, she has focused on building strong partnerships with families and communities.
