Luxury Minneapolis Condo with Scenic Views Hits Market for $3.7M

A luxurious condominium in downtown Minneapolis is now available for purchase at a price of $3.7 million. Scott Ross, a dermatologist and the second resident of the building, has decided to sell his 26th-floor unit in the recently constructed Eleven tower, which stands at 550 feet tall and features stunning views of the Mississippi River, Gold Medal Park, and the Guthrie Theater.
Ross’s residence offers expansive floor-to-ceiling bay windows that provide breathtaking cityscape vistas. He describes the experience of living there as being “kind of like living in an airplane,” especially at night when the city is illuminated. While the views and luxury amenities attracted him to the property, Ross faces challenges living in the high-rise with his 75-pound dog, Pepper. He has opted to relocate to the Lake of the Isles area, where he feels a yard is more suitable for his pet.
Having previously lived in a lakeside house in Wayzata, Ross was drawn to Eleven after reading about its development in a 2019 article by the Star Tribune. The building’s $190 million financing package aimed to construct Minnesota’s tallest and most expensive condominium, designed by the renowned New York-based Robert A.M. Stern Architects. Ross was impressed by the building’s design and amenities, stating, “They didn’t miss a trick. Everything’s really first class.”
The condominium features two bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a library. The open living area boasts oak flooring, a gas fireplace, and a modern kitchen equipped with white oak cabinetry, marble countertops, and high-end appliances. The primary suite includes a luxurious marble bathroom with a soaking tub and walk-in shower, while the secondary bedroom also has an en suite bath. An outdoor terrace of 195 square feet provides a space for relaxation, enhanced by heat lamps that extend its usability into the cooler months.
Residents benefit from a monthly homeowners association fee of $2,850, which covers amenities such as a 24-hour door attendant, an infrared sauna, a golf simulator, and a pet spa. The building also includes a library and an indoor sports court for activities like pickleball and basketball. The concierge service adds convenience by handling dry cleaning and package deliveries. Ross appreciates the ease of living, especially for those who travel frequently, as he notes, “You just lock your door, and you leave, and you don’t have to worry about anything.”
Despite the premium living experience, Ross highlights one limitation: the absence of a ground-floor restaurant. Although there is space allocated for one, it has yet to open. Fortunately, residents are within walking distance of some of the city’s top dining establishments, including Chloe by Vincent, Farmers Kitchen and Bar, and the award-winning Owamni.
The Mill District, where Eleven is located, has a rich history as a former industrial milling hub. This area has transformed significantly, evolving into a highly walkable neighborhood. According to Christie Hantge, executive director of the Downtown Minneapolis Neighborhood Association, the district has seen substantial development since the days when it was surrounded by parking lots near the old Metrodome Stadium.
Ross values the diverse community at Eleven, noting that residents come from various backgrounds and regions, including France and Germany. He appreciates the shared success among his neighbors, stating, “Most of them have been pretty successful.”
The listing for Ross’s condominium is being managed by Jim Schwarz of Sotheby’s International Realty, who can be contacted at (612) 251-7201 or via email at [email protected]. As the market for luxury properties continues to evolve, this high-rise condominium presents a unique opportunity for buyers seeking upscale living in downtown Minneapolis.
