Bestselling author Jonathan Janz has entered into a management agreement with Lit Entertainment Group, coinciding with the impending release of his latest novel, Veil. This highly anticipated book will be available through Blackstone Publishing starting March 15, 2024. The gripping narrative follows a father’s relentless quest to save his family amid a series of inexplicable disappearances.

In Veil, the story unfolds as individuals begin to vanish without a trace, first from public spaces and then from their homes. The chilling premise reveals unseen creatures that abduct people in broad daylight, leaving families shattered and desperate. The protagonist, high-school teacher John Calhoun, suffers the loss of his son on the first night, followed by the disappearance of his wife the next day. Over the course of two months, he and his 13-year-old daughter struggle to survive, until she too is taken.

A Journey into the Unknown

In his search for answers, John encounters a group of survivors who possess a unique ability: one member can see what others cannot, a result of a near-fatal accident. They believe this insight could be the key to understanding how the creatures infiltrate their world. Motivated by love and desperation, John volunteers to undergo a risky procedure that involves replicating the brain injury. This sets the stage for a harrowing mission to cross into an alien realm in hopes of rescuing their loved ones.

Veil is not only a thrilling tale but also marks Janz’s 19th published novel. The author, based in Indiana, has received numerous accolades for both his writing and teaching, including the Golden Apple Award for Excellence in Teaching. His previous works, such as Children of the Dark and The Dark Game, were recognized on prestigious Top Ten Horror Books of the Year lists by Booklist and Library Journal.

Janz’s contributions to literature extend beyond novels; he gained attention for his short story “Lenora,” featured in the Stephen King-inspired anthology It’s the End of the World As We Know It, which achieved New York Times bestseller status. His work continues to resonate with readers, earning him nominations for the Goodreads Choice Award, Splatterpunk Award, and Darrell Award.

The partnership with Lit Entertainment Group is expected to enhance Janz’s reach and impact in the literary world, aligning with his growing profile as a leading voice in contemporary horror fiction.
