Conway Hematology Oncology (CHO), a prominent provider of hematology and oncology services in Conway, Arkansas, has officially joined the American Oncology Network (AON) as of August 5, 2025. This partnership aims to enhance patient-focused care, expand clinical trial offerings, and explore new market opportunities while maintaining the compassionate care that has defined CHO for over 25 years.

Strengthening Community Cancer Care

The co-founder of CHO, Dr. Sue Tsuda, a Board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist, has been caring for patients in the Conway area since the clinic’s inception in 1998. A graduate of Northwestern University, she has completed her residency at Evanston Hospital and fellowships in hematology, blood banking, and medical oncology at prestigious institutions. Dr. Tsuda is recognized for her contributions to cancer care and has been listed among The Best Doctors in America since 1996.

Joining her in providing care are Christine Lightfoot and Courtney Nash, both Board-certified nurse practitioners. Lightfoot earned her nursing degrees from the University of Central Arkansas and has been serving patients in Arkansas since 2010. Nash, also a graduate of the same university, has been in practice since 2006. Together, they contribute a wealth of experience to the clinic.

Dr. Tsuda expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We’re proud to join American Oncology Network. AON’s commitment to personalized, high-quality care delivered in a community setting mirrors the mission we’ve upheld for decades.” She emphasized that this collaboration will enable CHO to broaden its services and introduce advanced treatments to patients.

A Commitment to Quality and Innovation

CHO offers a comprehensive range of oncology services, including cutting-edge diagnostic and treatment technologies, private examination rooms, an onsite laboratory, and comfortable infusion suites. The practice aims to create a supportive environment for patients undergoing treatment.

Todd Schonherz, CEO of AON, expressed his excitement about CHO joining the network. “CHO is well known for its outstanding patient-centered care, and their clinical expertise aligns perfectly with AON’s mission to make high-quality, individualized cancer treatment accessible in local communities,” he stated.

Additionally, Dr. Stephen “Fred” Divers, AON’s Chief Medical Officer, highlighted the positive impact CHO has made in Conway. “Their dedication to delivering excellent care in a community setting has made a lasting difference.
