Airbnb and Netflix Team Up for Exclusive Experiences Inspired by ‘Nobody Wants This’

Fans of the popular Netflix series Nobody Wants This will soon have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the show’s world through a new partnership between Airbnb and Netflix. The collaboration will offer three unique Airbnb Originals experiences that bring elements of the romantic comedy to life, coinciding with the release of the show’s highly anticipated second season, which premieres today.
The experiences will include a romantic pasta-making class at Osteria Mozza in Los Angeles, inspired by a scene from the upcoming season. This cooking class will offer couples a taste of the culinary magic featured in the series. Another experience will highlight Canter’s Deli, a beloved Los Angeles institution, where participants will learn about the restaurant’s rich history and connection to the show. This deli experience will also be showcased in promotional content across Netflix and Airbnb platforms.
In addition to these experiences, Airbnb has given ten lucky users exclusive access to the season two premiere of Nobody Wants This, allowing them a sneak peek ahead of the official release. The show, which stars Kristen Bell as sex and dating podcaster Joanne Williams and Adam Brody as unconventional rabbi Noah Roklov, has generated significant buzz since its debut.
The recent issue of The Hollywood Reporter features a cover story on Nobody Wants This, which explores the show’s origins and its challenging first season that, despite initial setbacks, became a global sensation. Brody commented on the show’s cultural impact, stating, “The fact that I saw pictures of Halloween costumes feels like the benchmark of cultural penetration.”
This partnership is part of Airbnb’s broader strategy to enhance its experiences segment by collaborating with Hollywood stars and leveraging popular content. Brian Chesky, CEO of Airbnb, discussed the potential of flagship experiences based on celebrities and intellectual properties to attract new users to the platform. Earlier this year, Airbnb also announced experiences featuring personalities such as Sabrina Carpenter and Patrick Mahomes.
Chesky explained that the company is evolving its approach, moving from offering just homes associated with celebrities to creating unique experiences that connect fans directly with their favorite stars. This initiative allows users to book various activities, ranging from music lessons with emerging artists to sports training sessions with Olympic champions.
The aim is to provide fans with unforgettable experiences and an opportunity to connect with their idols. As Chesky noted, “Why does she do it? She does it to create a one-time experience for fans and really allow them to connect, and other fans can live vicariously through them.”
With this innovative partnership, Airbnb and Netflix are set to redefine the way fans engage with their favorite shows, blending entertainment with real-world experiences that resonate deeply with audiences.
