Zac Brown is engaged to jewelry designer Kendra Scott, as he navigates a contentious legal battle with his ex-wife, Kelly Yazdi. The announcement came during an interview with People magazine, where the 46-year-old country music star expressed his joy, stating, “We are so happy and grateful that we found each other.” The couple’s engagement is marked by a stunning pink diamond ring showcased by Scott, 51, in photos shared with the publication.

The couple recently made their red carpet debut at the 2025 American Music Awards, where Brown’s band, Zac Brown Band, was nominated for favorite country duo or group. During the event, Brown received the inaugural Veteran’s Voice Award for his dedication to supporting the veteran community. Sources indicate that Brown and Scott began dating several months prior to their engagement, having been introduced by a mutual friend.

In a lively appearance on the Today show following the engagement announcement, Brown spoke about the excitement he feels, saying, “I feel great,” and humorously acknowledged the challenge of selecting an engagement ring for a jewelry designer. “What are you gonna get somebody that designs jewelry?” he said, before reflecting on the positive energy their relationship brings to his life and career.

Both individuals have prior marriages. Scott was married to John Scott from 2000 to 2006, and the couple shares two sons. She later married Matt Davis in 2014, with whom she has one child, but they divorced in 2020. Scott’s most recent marriage to Thomas Evans in 2022 also ended in separation.

Brown’s marital history is similarly complex. He divorced his first wife, Shelly, in 2018 after 12 years, and they share five children. His brief marriage to actress and model Kelly Yazdi in August 2023 ended in a public split just four months later, which escalated into a legal dispute.

The ongoing legal battle between Brown and Yazdi has drawn significant media attention. In May, Brown filed a lawsuit against Yazdi, alleging she violated a confidentiality agreement and defamed him through social media posts that accused him of “narcissistic abuse.” In response, Yazdi claimed that Brown was trying to silence her with his legal actions.

Further complicating matters, Yazdi filed her own lawsuit in July, alleging that Brown used unauthorized footage from their wedding in the music video for his song “Beautiful Drug.” She contends that he cast a lookalike model to misrepresent her in the video. The legal proceedings are set to unfold in court, with a jury trial scheduled for September 15, 2024, in Atlanta.

As Brown embraces this new chapter in his life with Scott, the ongoing legal disputes with Yazdi continue to cast a shadow over his personal affairs. The singer’s engagement brings both joy and complexity as he balances love and legal challenges.
