Providence Swedish Urgently Seeks Patients for Advisory Council

URGENT UPDATE: Providence Swedish is actively recruiting former patients and family members to join its Patient Family Advisory Council (PFAC), a vital initiative aimed at enhancing patient care across its facilities. This is an immediate call to action for those who wish to influence healthcare policies and practices at Providence Medical Group clinics, Providence St. Peter Hospital, and Providence Centralia Hospital.
The PFAC, established in 2011, meets monthly and is pivotal in ensuring that patient insights shape the services offered. “Providence Swedish in South Puget Sound is committed to partnering with patients, families, and caregivers throughout the healthcare experience,” stated Chief Executive Darin Goss. He emphasized the critical nature of patient perspectives, saying, “The Patient Family Advisory Council provides an invaluable perspective. Our mission is all about serving patients and families.”
Meetings are held on the first Friday of each month from noon to 2 p.m., and are conducted both in-person and via video conferencing. This flexibility allows for greater participation, ensuring diverse voices are heard and included in the advisory process.
Those interested in joining the PFAC must submit an application, participate in an interview, and complete the volunteer recruitment process. If you or someone you know has been a patient or family member at these facilities, now is the time to make your voice heard. Interested applicants can fill out the application at shorturl.at/qtVDM and email it to Trish Warnick at [email protected]. For further inquiries, contact Warnick at 360-791-3486.
Additionally, more volunteer opportunities are available at the Providence Centralia website (shorturl.at/q1d9s) and the Providence St. Peter website (shorturl.at/ouREQ).
This is an immediate opportunity for past patients and their families to impact the future of healthcare in their community. Don’t miss your chance to contribute to meaningful change. Share this news to help spread the word!
