Dining Delights during Baltimore Summer Restaurant Week

Starting Friday, the annual Baltimore Summer Restaurant Week kicks off, featuring over 60 local restaurants. This culinary event allows food enthusiasts to enjoy special menus at renowned establishments, including Miss Shirley’s Cafe, Bluestone Restaurant, and Sabatino’s Italian Restaurant. Sponsored by the Downtown Partnership of Baltimore, Visit Baltimore, and Pompeian, Inc., the event runs through August 3, offering a chance to savor flavors from across the city.

Theatrical Performances to Enjoy

The stage at Le Mondo will feature “The Gambler,” a play that follows the adventurous escapades of seniors Doris and Gertie as they escape a nursing home to indulge in card games and gambling. Performances take place on Friday at 20:00, Saturday at 15:00 and 20:00, and Sunday at 15:00 and 19:00. Tickets are priced at $20. This production is part of a collaboration between the Exponential Festival from Brooklyn, New York, and Le Mondo.

In addition, “Dive into Banned Books: A Water Ballet of Resistance and Joy” will be staged at Riverside Park Pool. This captivating performance addresses themes of censorship while highlighting the importance of inclusion. The story revolves around a librarian guiding children through five banned books, showcasing both resistance and joy. Performances are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday at 17:00 and 19:00, with tickets starting at $23.18.

For those seeking a lighthearted evening, “Girls Night: The Musical” will take the stage at the M&T Bank Exchange on Saturday. Attendees can enjoy a fun-filled night featuring popular songs such as “It’s Raining Men” and “I Will Survive.” The show starts at 15:00 and 19:30, with ticket prices beginning at $39.

Celebrate Christmas in July

On Friday, Max’s Taphouse invites patrons to celebrate “Christmas in July.” Located at 737 S. Broadway, the event features a selection from the Bruery’s 12 Days of Christmas collection, including the 2 Turtle Doves Dark Strong Ale. Admission is free, and the festivities run from 11:30 to 23:30.
