Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann have taken a significant step in their ongoing custody battle by signing a temporary custody agreement. This development follows a mediation session held last week, aimed at resolving some of the immediate issues surrounding their six children. According to documents obtained by TMZ, both parties have agreed to the temporary terms, although the specifics of the agreement remain undisclosed.

The couple’s separation has been tumultuous, lasting over two years since they filed for divorce in May 2023. Their relationship, which began with a wedding in November 2011, has been marked by public disputes and serious allegations. As they navigate this challenging phase, the temporary arrangement may signal progress towards a more permanent resolution.

Zolciak, 47, and Biermann, 40, share six children: Brielle, 28; Ariana, 23; Kroy Jagger “KJ”, 13; Kash Kade, 12; and twins Kaia and Kane, 11. Biermann legally adopted Brielle and Ariana in July 2013. The custody arrangement was initially established after the couple faced financial difficulties, leading to the foreclosure of their Georgia home, where they were forced to vacate in April 2025.

In the past, the custody agreement allowed for a split arrangement, with each parent having two children at all times, alternating weekly. However, Biermann has raised concerns about the lack of structure and accountability in Zolciak’s household. He stated that the current arrangement is not in the best interest of the children, claiming that Zolciak has subjected them to “emotional and psychological abuse.”

The public feud has included serious accusations from both sides. Zolciak publicly criticized Biermann, referring to him as a “deadbeat dad” during her appearance on Kristin Cavallari’s “Let’s Be Honest” podcast tour in June 2025. She asserted that he had not financially supported their children or contributed to household expenses for years. In August 2025, Biermann filed for sole custody, alleging that Zolciak often left the children without adequate parental supervision.

As the couple attempts to navigate their personal and financial difficulties, Zolciak has begun a new relationship with entrepreneur Kyle Mowitz, whom she started dating in March 2025. Mowitz is also experiencing challenges in his own divorce. In a reported move to protect his interests, Biermann allegedly reached out to Mowitz’s estranged wife, Jillian Green, warning her that Zolciak might financially exploit Mowitz.

As both parents continue to resolve their differences, the progress made in signing this temporary custody agreement may bring a semblance of stability to their children amidst a chaotic backdrop. The coming weeks will likely reveal more about the future of their custody arrangements and the overall outcome of their divorce proceedings.
