The highly anticipated drama “Spring Fever” has unveiled its diverse cast of teachers, promising a blend of romance and humor. Set to premiere on January 5, 2024, at 20:50 KST, the series explores the emotional journey of Yoon Bom, portrayed by Lee Joo Bin, an emotionally distant high school teacher, and her unexpected connection with Seon Jae Gyu, played by Ahn Bo Hyun.

Recent promotional images showcase the faculty of Shinsu High School, each character bringing their unique backstory and personality to the mix. Yoon Bom, once a popular and charismatic teacher, finds herself in Shinsu Village after a life-altering incident. Determined to embrace a quieter life, she adopts a cold demeanor that intrigues her colleagues and the local community.

Among the ensemble is Jin Kyung, who plays Seo Hye Suk, a single mother and Korean language teacher known for her inquisitive nature. Hye Suk is not only the landlord of Yoon Bom but also a pivotal figure in the school, raising twins while balancing her role as the resident busybody. In contrast, Bae Jung Nam portrays Jung Jin Hyuk, the physical education teacher whose past glory as the “Shinsu Village idol” now collides with the responsibilities of middle age. Jin Hyuk remains unmarried, dedicating his time to caring for his ailing mother.

As the story unfolds, Hye Suk and Jin Hyuk find themselves participating in jiu-jitsu classes alongside their fellow teachers, igniting a budding romance that forms the heart of the drama’s narrative.

The supporting cast includes Kim Byung Choon as Seok Gwan Soo, the school principal who struggles with authority while navigating personal hardships, adding a comedic touch to the storyline. Oh Man Seok plays Hong Jung Pyo, a vice principal whose priorities often shift towards side ventures rather than his educational duties. Additionally, Jung Young Ki portrays Wi Jung Hwan, a history teacher who serves as a mediator among the faculty, providing comic relief and depth to the dynamics.

“Spring Fever” aims to capture the complexities of relationships within the school environment, all while delivering a romantic comedy that resonates with a broad audience. As the premiere date approaches, viewers can look forward to the engaging performances of the cast and the unfolding of Yoon Bom and Seon Jae Gyu’s love story.

For those eager for a sneak peek, Lee Joo Bin is currently featured in “Gaduri Restaurant,” and Jin Kyung can be seen in “My Youth.”
