The Grand County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that the jumper was successfully rescued and received “advanced treatment for moderate injuries.”
In the gripping video captured by bystander Danielle Mick, a rescuer can be seen descending from a helicopter as strong winds whip the parachute against the cliff face. The rescue operation concluded around 4:00 p.m. when the jumper was hoisted to safety.
