Jeanette Brinkman, 70, Passes Away; Funeral Services Scheduled
BREAKING: Jeanette Brinkman, a beloved member of the Charles City community, passed away on November 6, 2025, at the age of 70. Her family has announced funeral services scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on November 11, 2025, at the Gospel Lighthouse Church in Floyd.
The service will be officiated by Pastor Paul Phillips, with burial to follow at 2 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery in Greene, Iowa. Visitation is set for 5-7 p.m. on November 10 at Hauser Weishaar Funeral Home in Charles City, continuing one hour before the service on Tuesday.
Jeanette was born on November 10, 1954, in Charles City, alongside her twin sister, Jeanine. Diagnosed with juvenile diabetes at a young age, she faced significant health challenges, including losing her sight at 22 due to complications. Despite her struggles, Jeanette exemplified strength and resilience throughout her life, undergoing three organ transplants and numerous health procedures.
She was known for her unwavering positivity and concern for others, drawing strength from her faith and her community. Jeanette cherished her time with family and friends, often reminiscing about her love for cats, enjoying coffee, and listening to music, particularly the Jackson 5 and Michael Jackson.
Jeanette was an active member of the Gospel Lighthouse Church, where she formed lasting friendships and shared her spiritual journey. Her family notes her ability to find joy in the smallest moments, showcasing her extraordinary spirit and love for life.
Her family includes two brothers, Dennis and Douglas Brinkman, and her twin sister Jeanine Krueger, along with several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents and caregivers, Bonnie Holtz and Lois Meyer, who provided her with exceptional support throughout her life.
