Lee County, Monroe Girls Basketball Teams Dominate Openers Now
UPDATE: The high school basketball season kicked off last night with a bang in Albany, as the Lee County and Monroe girls basketball teams delivered *stunning victories* at the Dougherty Tip-Off Classic. Monroe’s head coach Jennifer Acree expressed her dissatisfaction with the team’s sluggish start but praised their second-half performance. “After lighting a fire under them at the half, we came out and put together a much better effort,” she remarked. The Lady Tornadoes are now poised to face Valdosta on Friday, while Westover will look to regroup against Lowndes on Tuesday.
