URGENT UPDATE: Montgomery County Community College (MCCC) is set to debut its highly anticipated fall production of “The Moors” in just a few days. The dark comedy, penned by acclaimed playwright Jen Silverman, is directed by MCCC’s own Jessica DalCanton and promises to deliver a captivating mix of humor and intrigue.

The performances are scheduled for November 6, 7, and 8, 2023, at 7 p.m., along with a matinee on November 7 at 12:30 p.m., and a final showing on November 9 at 2 p.m. All performances will take place in North Hall 228 at MCCC’s Pottstown Campus, located at 16 E. High Street, Pottstown. This is your chance to witness a unique theatrical experience that explores themes of isolation and ambition in a remote English countryside setting.

Tickets are priced at $15 for general admission and $10 for students. Attendees are encouraged to secure their tickets online at mc3.edu/tickets to avoid missing out on this engaging production. Free parking is conveniently available at MCCC’s South Hall parking lot, located at 101 College Drive.

“The Moors” tells the compelling story of two sisters and their dog who grapple with feelings of longing and ambition. The arrival of a naïve governess and a moorhen turns their lives upside down, spiraling into a humorous yet poignant tale of love and desperation. Due to the play’s mature content and language, it is recommended for viewers aged 16 years and older.

The production features a talented cast of students, including Persephone Harshbarger, Elizabeth Kieser, Will Olsen, Peyton Seitzinger, Autumn Sherry, and Gracie Vanning. The dedicated production team comprises Erin Armstrong, Maeve Brennan, Rhea Khilnani, Zoa Krencik, Adam Rickert, Nara Tith, and Echo Wallower.

This performance is part of MCCC’s Montco Cultural Center, a hub for artistic expression that fosters creativity and community engagement across both the Blue Bell and Pottstown campuses. The Montco Cultural Center includes fine art galleries and intimate theaters designed to showcase the arts in innovative ways.

Don’t miss this opportunity to support local talent and enjoy a night of thought-provoking theater. Share this exciting event with friends and family—tickets are going fast!
