Tyla Celebrates “Chanel” Release at Glamorous L.A. Brunch Event
Tyla marked the release of her latest single, “Chanel,” with a lavish brunch event in Los Angeles on October 23, 2023. The gathering, titled “Put Her in Chanel,” welcomed approximately 25 women, including journalists, influencers, and stars from the “Chanel” music video, at Chez Mia in West Hollywood. Each guest was greeted with a white rose accompanied by personalized notes, representing a gesture of appreciation.
As part of the event’s theme, Tyla embraced the essence of the iconic brand by gifting attendees custom Chanel compact mirrors. Guests also enjoyed a bouquet bar, where flowers were elegantly arranged in white paper resembling Chanel shopping bags. “I’m here to spoil the girls. I’m putting you all in Chanel today,” Tyla stated during a champagne toast, wearing an oversized white Chanel graphic tee and layered gold Chanel chains.
The singer emphasized the message behind her new track, stating, “This song’s very special. Not only is it about getting spoiled and getting treated like our worth, it’s also just a statement. It’s for the girls. We know our worth. We are who we are. We know what we bring to the table. So come to the table!”
Tyla’s relationship with Chanel extends beyond this brunch. She made her debut at a Chanel show during Paris Fashion Week in March 2023, where she wore a striking purple tweed ensemble. Reflecting on the experience, she told Vogue, “Chanel is such a classic timeless brand. I wanted to feel like a classic rich Chanel girl.”
In September, she transformed a classic Chanel piece from the spring/summer 1993 collection into a stunning micro dress at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards. This appearance was notable as she won the award for Best Afrobeats for her song “Push 2 Start,” marking her second consecutive win in that category.
