Robert Lesinger Takes Charge as New CEO of Boca Grande Club
BREAKING: The Boca Grande Club has officially appointed Robert Lesinger as its new CEO, effective August 1, 2023. Lesinger, who previously served as general manager of the Corpus Christi Yacht Club for three years, has been selected to lead the prestigious club following the retirement of longtime president Yvonne Anderson.
Lesinger’s extensive background includes leadership positions at notable institutions such as the Pensacola Country Club, Greensboro Country Club, and Indian River Country Club. He began his career at the Charlotte Country Club under the mentorship of Damien DiOrio. A graduate of the University of Stuttgart in Germany, Lesinger is also an active member of the Club Management Association of America.
In a recent email to club members, Gap Kovach, chairman of the Boca Grande Club, praised Lesinger as an “empowering manager” and confirmed that he was the unanimous choice of the search committee from three finalists. This decision marks a significant transition for the club, which Anderson helped establish when it was acquired in 1994.
Lesinger and his fiancée, Irene, have relocated from Corpus Christi, Texas, to Boca Grande, signaling their commitment to the community. The change in leadership is expected to bring fresh perspectives and initiatives as the club continues to evolve.
