UPDATE: Colfax-Mingo volleyball staged a thrilling comeback to defeat Class 4A Perry at the Woodward-Granger tournament on October 7, 2023. The Tigerhawks overcame a slow start, clinching the match with scores of 18-21, 21-19, 15-12. This victory marked a bright spot in an otherwise tough day, as they faced defeats against Madrid, ACGC, and Boone.

Despite the challenging matches, the Tigerhawks showcased impressive performances. In the comeback win against Perry, Katelyn Steenhoek led with 12 assists, five kills, six digs, and two aces. Hope Allen supported with eight assists and 11 digs, while Grace Hunsberger added seven kills and three digs.

The struggles continued, however, as Colfax-Mingo fell to Madrid in a tight match, finishing 21-19, 12-21, 15-12. This loss previewed a likely first-round regional matchup. In this contest, Steenhoek again stood out with 10 assists and 11 digs, while Hope Allen contributed 10 assists and two aces.
