Latino Film Institute Empowers Young Filmmakers Through Unique Program
The Latino Film Institute is making significant strides in empowering young filmmakers through its innovative Youth Cinema Project. Issac Flores, who was only 16 years old when he joined the program, found it to be a transformative experience. “It opened so many opportunities and so many doors that I didn’t even know existed,” Flores stated. These include YCP Signature, YCP AfterSchool, YCP Summer, and the CTE Film Production Pathway. The latter consists of a two-course sequence aligned with CTE Arts, Media, and Entertainment (AME) standards, providing students with a structured learning experience.
