UPDATE: A woman has tragically died following a traffic collision in Vallejo, California, marking the city’s ninth fatal incident of the year. The Vallejo Police Department is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident, which occurred on Tuesday, July 11, 2023.
Authorities report that the Napa County Sheriff’s Office alerted the Vallejo Police about the accident that took place near the intersection of Broadway Street and Mahogany Street. The investigation has revealed that the woman, known to the driver, attempted to enter the vehicle while it was in motion. Unfortunately, she fell as the vehicle continued to move.
The driver stopped to assist her back into the vehicle but left the scene without reporting the incident, which has raised significant concerns for investigators. The Vallejo Police Department’s Traffic Division has taken over the case, emphasizing the need for further inquiry into the matter.
