URGENT UPDATE: The Texas Rangers have just activated left-hander Danny Coulombe from the 15-day injured list as of today, October 3, 2023. Coulombe had been sidelined due to fatigue in his throwing shoulder, missing 13 games during his recovery.

In a strong comeback, Coulombe successfully completed a rehabilitation assignment with Double-A Frisco, delivering two scoreless innings across two games. This season, he has an impressive record of 2-1 with two saves and a 2.52 ERA over 51 appearances, including one start for both Texas and Minnesota.

Since joining the Rangers via trade on July 31, Coulombe has made 11 relief appearances, posting a 1-1 record with a 7.56 ERA. His return is expected to bolster the Rangers’ bullpen as they vie for playoff positioning.

In a corresponding move, right-hander Luis Curvelo has been optioned to Triple-A Round Rock to clear a spot for Coulombe on the roster. The Rangers are looking to maximize their pitching strength as the season approaches its critical final weeks.

Stay tuned for more updates as the Rangers gear up for their upcoming games, and follow the latest developments in this exciting MLB season!
