Former World Champion Hosts Urgent Revival of Hope in Winterville

URGENT UPDATE: A transformative event is set to unfold in Winterville next week as Victorious Living, an international nonprofit led by former world champion water skier Kristi Overton Johnson, announces its second annual Revival of Hope on October 13-14, 2023. This two-day revival will feature four free events at a tented venue located on East Fire Tower Road, aimed at empowering individuals and fostering community healing.
The revival’s theme, “Journey to Freedom,” underscores the urgent need for hope and personal transformation. Overton Johnson stated, “Their stories prove that painful, frustrating and even life-altering experiences don’t have to hold you back. There is hope for a purpose-filled life, no matter what someone has encountered.”
Attendees can look forward to two nightly services led by prominent speakers from across the nation, including best-selling author Rabbi Jason Sobel, who serves as a spiritual adviser for the hit series “The Chosen.” The event will also feature a “Discover Your Story” workshop and a women’s conference, designed to inspire and uplift.
As part of the revival, worship music and performances will be provided by renowned artists, including Miriam Webster Sobel, a former Hillsong worship leader, and the Gateway Church Worship Team. Other impactful speakers include professional athlete and electrical shock survivor Matt Manzari, ministry leader Rob Whitner, and local advocates like Renee’ Cairns and Carley Summers.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase, with The Rock food truck on site Friday and GrillVille on Saturday. The first 200 attendees at the morning women’s conference will receive complimentary breakfast and Awaken Coffee, enhancing the sense of community and engagement.
Since its inception in 2013, Kristi Overton Johnson Ministries has successfully delivered hope and biblically-based solutions to millions in the corrections community, emphasizing that “a person doesn’t have to be locked up physically to be incarcerated emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.” Overton Johnson aims to extend this message to the broader community, reinforcing that freedom is possible for everyone.
In a significant outreach effort, all services will be live-streamed and translated into Spanish. The revival will also be broadcast to nearly a million incarcerated individuals using prison tablets nationwide. Additionally, members of the Victorious Living ministry team will visit the Pitt County Detention Center, bringing the revival experience to 400 locally incarcerated individuals.
As the Revival of Hope approaches, the community is encouraged to participate in this life-changing event, which promises to foster healing and empowerment for all. Don’t miss out!
