A luxury estate in Alaqua Lakes, owned by former NFL linebacker John Mobley, has sold in just two days after receiving multiple offers. The property, listed at $3.675 million, was sold for $3.6 million as reported by GrowthSpotter.

The Mobleys constructed the impressive 9,545-square-foot home in 2006, residing in the affluent Longwood community until this recent sale. Frank Benevento of Coldwell Banker Global Luxury described the home as “timeless,” emphasizing its immediate “wow factor” upon entry.

The six-bedroom, seven-bath residence is situated on 1.19 acres within the exclusive Enclave section of Alaqua Lakes, featuring a grand staircase, soaring ceilings, and an open layout. Benevento noted that the home includes a primary suite located in its own wing, making it particularly appealing for larger families or those hosting guests.

Benevento characterized the design as “old-world style,” contrasting it with more contemporary homes. He highlighted the home’s numerous signature features, including expansive windows that let in ample light and views of the surrounding landscape.

The outdoor space boasts a resort-style pool with two waterfalls and a unique cage design, setting the tone for relaxation and entertainment. “This happens to be the nicest pool I’ve seen,” Benevento remarked, pointing out its stunning features and exceptional design.

The buyers, Jeffery and Katherine Matthews, were represented by Alex Steffano of Korr Realty. The transaction unfolded quickly, with two written offers and one verbal offer coming in within 48 hours of the property’s listing.

Benevento acknowledged the emotional challenge the Mobleys faced in deciding to sell their home. “Nobody wants to leave a property like this,” he stated, underscoring the difficulty of the decision despite their desire to downsize.

The Mobleys’ former estate stands as a testament to luxury living in Central Florida, attracting buyers with its unique architectural features and serene surroundings.
