Arsenal is actively pursuing a transfer for Aston Villa midfielder Morgan Rogers as they seek to bolster their squad in the wake of an injury to striker Kai Havertz. The club is also reportedly close to securing a deal for Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze, aiming to finalize a transfer that could be valued at approximately £68 million.

The injury to Havertz has intensified Arsenal’s interest in Rogers, who is viewed as a potential challenger for Gabriel Martinelli on the left wing. The Gunners have been monitoring the 23-year-old for some time. However, Aston Villa is under no financial pressure to sell and is expected to reject any offers below £80 million.

Manchester United Striker Rasmus Højlund Seeks Permanent Loan Terms

In other transfer news, Rasmus Højlund, a forward for Manchester United, has made it clear to clubs including Napoli, RB Leipzig, and AC Milan that he prefers any potential loan deal to include an obligation to buy rather than just an option. The 22-year-old had previously expressed a desire to remain at Old Trafford, but now seeks assurance and confidence from potential new clubs if he is to leave.

Reports suggest that Højlund is being considered as a replacement for Napoli’s injured striker Romelu Lukaku. Meanwhile, Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho has emerged as a target for Internazionale and Roma, with his future at Old Trafford appearing uncertain following his initial rejection of a move to the Italian side. Sancho could explore a loan deal that would keep his options open as he approaches free agency in 2026.

Other Key Developments in the Transfer Market

Liverpool’s Harvey Elliott has emerged as the top candidate for RB Leipzig to replace midfielder Xavi Simons, who is set to join Chelsea for around €60 million. Leipzig has reportedly agreed on personal terms with Elliott, and Liverpool is willing to consider a transfer if an appropriate offer is received.

In a notable rejection, Brentford has turned down an improved offer from Newcastle United worth £35 million, plus £5 million in add-ons, for striker Yoane Wissa. Brentford is seeking a figure above £40 million for the 28-year-old, who is eager for a move to St James’ Park.

Various other clubs are also active in the transfer market. Chelsea’s parent company, BlueCo, has reached an agreement to sign Brighton’s Julio Enciso, while Everton is interested in Manchester City defender Nathan Ake. Additionally, Galatasaray and Al Ittihad are reportedly considering a move for Marseille midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

As the transfer window continues to unfold, clubs are navigating complex negotiations in hopes of strengthening their squads ahead of the new season.
