Madera Chamber Honors Community Leaders with Lifetime Awards

URGENT UPDATE: The Madera Chamber of Commerce celebrated outstanding community contributors with Lifetime Achievement Awards last night, October 12, 2023, at Hatfield Hall in the Madera Fairgrounds. This event not only honored living legends but also paid tribute to the late Tami Jo Nix, a beloved journalist who passed away in May 2023.
In a heartfelt ceremony, board members John Copland, Zahid Bhatti, and Joe Doyland presented the awards to Rick Dorris, along with his colleagues Tyler Takeda and Nancy Simpson. Dorris accepted the award on behalf of Nix, who often celebrated community achievements through her work at the Madera Tribune. As she would have said, “a good time was had by all,” reflecting the spirit of the evening.
